DPWI’S QUARTERLY PERFORMANCE REVIEW MEETING UNDERWAY IN SANDTON

Minister Dean Macpherson alongside Deputy Minister Sihle Zikalala and Director General Sifiso Mdakane convened a meeting with the upper echelons of the department today. The meeting held at the Industrial Development Corporation offices in Sandton, provided a platform of the Ministry to evaluate both financial and non-financial service delivery, to ensure that deliverables align with government’s priorities.

The high-level engagement served to assess the Department’s performance of Quarter 3 and 4 and to monitor the implementation of key strategic programmes. Focus was also brought toward the implementation report from January 2025. Key discussions also focused on strategic direction, policy implementation, performance monitoring, and challenges within the Department.

The session provided a critical opportunity for reflection, accountability and alignment ensuring that management remains on track to contribute meaningfully to the broader objectives of the Department.

In addition to performance monitoring, participants discussed solutions that will strengthen departmental plans to ensure they are practical, results-driven and aligned with strategic objectives. During the session, Deputy Minister Sihle Zikalala reiterated the Minister’s call for action, emphasising that discussions must now lead to tangible outcomes.
